By creating an account or using Murmur, you agree to these Terms of use, our Community guidelines, and our Privacy & data security page. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Murmur provides shared ambient rooms for co-working and chill: timers, optional chat, message board, sound mixer, and visual mood tools. Features may change, pause, or be removed without prior notice.

Murmur is provided as is and as available, without warranties of uninterrupted access, perfect sync, or fitness for a particular purpose.

You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep credentials confidential. One person should use one account; do not share logins to evade limits (such as one room per host).

Usernames are assigned automatically and are not transferable. Display names and bios must follow Community guidelines and length limits.

You may use Murmur only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to break into systems, scrape aggressively, overload rooms, reverse engineer protected parts of the service beyond what the law allows, or use Murmur to harm others.

You retain rights to text you post (chat, board, profile). You grant Murmur a limited license to host, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate rooms for you and other members. You confirm you have the rights to post what you share.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Murmur and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, or productivity arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to Murmur is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us for the service in the prior three months (if any) or zero if the service is free.

You may stop using Murmur at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or create risk for other users or the platform. Room and account data may be deleted upon termination as described in the privacy page.

These terms are written for a small product audience. Local consumer laws may give you additional rights that these terms cannot override. If a section is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
